Greensboro Sit-Ins

This assessment gauges whether students can identify the historical event depicted in an iconic photograph and evaluate its historical significance. Successful students will draw on their knowledge of the past to identify this influential image of North Carolina A&T students protesting racial injustice by sitting at a segregated Woolworth’s lunch counter in Greensboro, North Carolina, and then explain how the protest was historically significant.
