Curriculum

For centuries, historians have argued over how many Persians participated in the Battle of Thermopylae. In this lesson, students examine four historians' estimates of the number of participants in this battle and consider how the historians used evidence to support their historical claims.

If you are a U.S. or World History teacher and you are not using SHEG lessons, then your students are missing out! These lessons are designed to help kids "do history" and introduce them to historical thinking processes. This lesson is a great intro into historical perspectives. I LOVE this program!
Great lesson. Really helped my 10th grade World History class to understand how we study history and what ways historians use to find facts and information by several sources. Highly recommended.
